Superintendent First Episcopal District
The First Episcopal District Church School is composed of the Philadelphia, Delaware, New Jersey, New York, Western New York, Bermuda, and New England Annual Conferences. Our Church School mission is to “teach, train, and nurture all ages in God’s word; preparing them for Christian service by emphasizing Christian principals, Doctrine and Discipline of the African Methodist Episcopal Church“.
The First District Church School prepares Superintendents and teachers to fulfill the African Methodist Episcopal Church School mission through preparing our teachers in Biblical concepts, leadership and teaching techniques. Our Episcopal Guideposts are the standards by which we guide ourselves.
Our colors: Yellow and White – Yellow represents the light of Jesus shining in our lives and White represents purity and fulfillment of the Holy Spirit that empowers us in our teaching ministry.
“Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things will be added unto you”. Matthew 6:33. “All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore and teach all nations… Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you…” Matthew 28:18. These are the words of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. This is the rallying cry for us as Disciples of Christ. To seek the Kingdom of God, to seek righteousness, to seek those who do not know Jesus and teach them the word.
You are invited you to visit our First District Church School Website to learn more about our ministry and we pray that you will attend Church School at one of our local church communities. Children and adults are welcome. God bless you!
A Biblical Foundation
