Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Welcome to the Official Website of the First Episcopal District.  We are pleased to share with you through the multiple pages published on this site information and resources to help you learn more about and experience the African Methodist Episcopal Church and the First Episcopal District in particular.  Visiting this site you will find a wealth of information about our ministry including statements about our history, vision, mission and key insights into the various ministry components of this great ecclesiastical institution simply known as the A.M.E. Church.

The First Episcopal District consist of over 300 local church congregations who faithfully provide ministry to people of all generations, social/economic backgrounds and cultures.  Reverend Jessica and I encourage those who are not current members of our church to search for and visit one of our local A.M.E. Churches located in one of the seven (7) Conference regions within our Episcopal District in order that you may experience the move of God and the presence of His Holiness in our Worship Services, Outreach and Fellowship ministries.

We hope that each of you visiting today will find our District Website informative and engaging.  For those who are faithful members of our A.M.E. Church family please use this website as a resource to stay informed about all that is happening throughout the District and the Connection.  This is a dynamic Website so click on every menu tab, label, icon and image to uncover information.  May God’s rich blessings be with you and your families each and every day as you seek Him to find peace, joy and happiness living your faith.
